We have lived in this house now for a little more than a year and we still don't have any curtains up . . . yeah. Today was the day to change that. So grab a cup of coffee and prepare yourself to be amazed! (😂 seriously easiest diy ever)
These DIY drop cloth curtains all started when I was at Walmart getting supplies for my DIY Stenciled Kitchen and Dining Room I was in the paint isle and saw these drop cloths. So I grabbed one for about $10.00. Then at Lowe's I grabbed the ring clips for around $4.00, and also the curtain rod for around $9.00.
Thankfully my handy hubby was able to take these "before" curtains down. Trust me, he was more than happy to rip these nasty curtains down.
Now lay out your drop cloth and cut it right down the middle length wise.
These will be your two curtains.
Now fold the first curtain about 14' down.
Then you are all set to put the rings on the curtain rod. We ended up having to use three supports for the curtain. I tried to get away with only using two, but the next morning I woke up to a droopy curtain rod. So then we added the middle support.
I am so surprised by how much I love these curtains. For one, we finally have curtains so that was a big change for this space. I think they add a lot. I just bought two more packs of drop cloths to add some of these curtains in other rooms of my house.
See! I told you this would be the easiest diy ever! Was I wrong? So easy!! If you end up making some of these diy drop cloth curtains I would love to see them! If you post them on Instagram use the hashtag #myhomechronicles so I can see them! Or you can just send me a picture!
I hope you all have a great day!!
