A Little Somethin Something

Going back to grocery shopping: do you ladies ever get yourself a little extra somthin somethin to treat yourself? 

Sometimes I like to! It is a great way to add a little spontinuity to my day. I usually like to pick out a new make up product. The other day I bought false eyelashes and tried to put them on, epic fail! It is harder then it looks. But you know what, it was so much fun trying them!

Yesterday, I bought a 2$ nail polish. I have been wanting a white nail polish for awhile and decided its was time to go ahead and get it. Even though it was only 2$ it still is an inspiration to me, it makes me want to take a couple minutes out of my day to take care of myself. 

I can remember Amelia being about a week old and I called my mom and asked her, "mom, is it okay if I take a shower while Amelia is sleeping?" I love her response, "yes, definitely! You need to take care of yourself so you can take care of Amelia!" It is kind of like in an airplane when they say get your oxygen first so you can take care of the people around you. This all being said, when you have a new born "taking care of yourself means a whole different thing than it meant when you did not have a new born. 

Especially after getting a puppy. It is a lot of work taking care of a husband, daughter, puppy, and house! I love every second of it, but it definitely takes my time away from me (which is fine) but I am just saying it is good to take a little bit of time out for me once in awhile (and for other mamas out there too!) 

I need to take my own advice because I did not even get to painting my nails yesterday. Oops! : ) Maybe today I will take a little bit of time while my babies are sleeping and paint them. 

Sometimes I wonder why I even paint my nails because they just chip and I have to start the whole process over, but I do it because it makes me feel like I am a woman! And besides it is fun to paint my nails!!!
