Picture Walk Monday: Wildfire Event

Wildfire

I went to this amazing women's event called Wildfire, where I got to spend time talking with wonderful women and learning more about what Wildfire is all about. I also heard the testimonies of some beautiful woman.

When I arrived I was greeted by several smiling faces.
I got a name tag and entered into a giveaway! These ladies know how to throw an event; it was a soup and salad luncheon where they also had fruit, homemade biscuits and rolls, a little dessert bite, and tea and water. It was delicious, to say the least!

While I got fed physically, I was also fed spiritually. They had a couple woman (which turned into all of the core small group woman-- their experience and testimonies were so good) who shared their testimonies of what happened to their lives through the small groups.

You might be asking what small groups?
Let me tell you.

Wildfire (the small groups) all started from this woman at her breaking point on her knees and face, done and ready to give up on her marriage, her children, and run away with someone she barely even knew.

She was crying out for help.

God heard her cries and answered her prayers by giving her the idea and courage to call several woman in her church and ask them if they wanted to start doing a small group with her.

Some of the woman did not want to go to the small group for several different reasons: I have to put the kids in bed, I don't like the other woman in the small group, what do I have to offer there, etc.

It was time for their very first small group to happen (all of the woman ended up going even if some of them were late). The woman mentioned about felt convicted to share with the small group everything she was going through. After she did, she thought for sure she was going to be judged and looked down upon, just down right stoned, basically! She was so humbled after she told them when she found the other woman crying with her; feeling sympathetic and some of them empathetic. They prayed for her. They showed the love of Christ to her. They gave her hope.

This is just one of the several stories that were shared at the Wildfire event about the impact of their experience from going to the small group from the women who joined the core (first) small group.

The woman from the core small group had a great idea and felt led to take their experience and share it with us by splitting themselves up and being a part of several different small groups (hopefully there will be too many small groups for them to all be apart of one). So that we can also enter into this season of

healing
               forgiveness
                         compassion
                                friendship
                                                       and especially love

by signing up to join a small group!

So if you want to be a part of this special opportunity and join a Wildfire small group, comment below or Facebook message me.
