ThredUp Haul

Thredup Inc.

This has been such a fun week! We had some of our friends come visit us from Haviland today, and it was so nice to catch up with them and enjoy some quality time together. Speaking of friends, one of my friends here in Booker texted me and said, "I'm so mad at you . . . I got on ThredUp because of your Instagram post and now my cart is FULL . . . I'm addicted.: )" I can't blame her. ThredUp is a really great site. They have clothes that you would actually want to wear, and they have them for such a great price. I am also addicted to ThredUp I have to admit! So I just ordered from them, twice! I couldn't help myself. ThredUp is doing a promotion right now where if you have never signed up with them you can sign up and get $20 to spend in your cart. Plus, if someone invites you and you spend the $20 then the person that invited you also gets $20! Woohoo, that sounds like a win win situation to me. So, if you have never signed up send me your email and I will send you the invite so you will get $20 to spend on your order. Happy shopping!!

Watch this video to see all of the cute things I ordered!

And here's a little ootd with my new ThredUp dress, and my sweet girl!

5 Date Night Ideas! Country Style!

I always talk about how family time is my favorite time. It really is! I love spending time with my immediate and mediate family. I just know family is forever and I want to make those relationships strong to last. However, my most important relationship is with my husband, Shane. One thing we do to keep our relationship strong is to spend time together. That doesn't always mean getting dressed to the nines and going to a fancy dinner. Although I absolutely love those dates! Dates can be challenging. They can be extra challenging when you are living in the middle of nowhere and you have limited resources, and limited places you can go to. But, that makes dating extra meaningful here because you know the person planning it had to get creative and really think about it.

Now that we are finally settled into our home here and Amelia is settled in we feel like it is time to get serious about our dating life (with each other). I thought to help the process I would come up with a few dates we could do so that when we finally go on a date we aren't stuck saying, "so what do you want to do?" back and forth to each other wasting our precious date time. Plus, while we are visiting family or when they come and visit us for the holidays I just know we will be able to slip away and go on a date! Some of these dates are simple and some of them are more extravagant.

Here go's for the dates . . .

1) We have a couple in our church that own a couple of horses and I think it would be so fun to go horse back riding with each other and then have a picnic! That just screams quality time together, and I could see that date allowing us to have some great conversations.

2) I have been dreaming about a date at home. One where we can cook a tasty meal together. A meal that wouldn't take very long, but still taste really good. Then I want to make Shane a movie date basket. One with all of his favorite snacks and one with all of my favorite snacks and some homemade popcorn! I have been loving homemade popcorn lately! Then we can snuggle on the couch with our new throw blankets and pillows and watch a classic movie. This date just sounds so relaxing and watching a movie without having to pause it for a toddler sounds dreamy!

3) So, if we were feeling like we are wanting to be competitive, and flirty. Because he is a basketball stud, and I love to be competitive. We could go to our churches gym that we oversee and play a game of P.I.G. (the basketball game) That would probably work up our appetites so we could go to dinner and a movie. Thankfully there is a cute little movie theater about 10 miles away.

4) If you are blessed and get to go on what I like to call a "date day" this would be a great option. This would be the best date! If we could have my parents watch Amelia over night Shane and I could go to one of the bigger cities around us and go to Sky Zone Sports! Have you guys heard of it? It looks like so much fun! I actually found this awesome website, http://anncoupons.com/ that is just full of coupons for the Sky Zone Sports http://anncoupons.com/entertainmentcoupons/item/skyzonesportscoupons. Shane could get a student deal coupon where he could go for $10 and I could get a coupon deal for unlimited jumping for $20. Or actually they have a BOGO coupon so Amelia could come for the same price. I am going to keep this place in mind for Shane's next birthday party because they have a birthday and special event coupon, too! (The http://anncoupons.com/ site has a ton of other coupons. Like for the zoo, restaurants, auto shops, department stores, etc. And they have the coupons for a ton of different areas.)

5) Another date option could be to go to a surrounding bigger city and go eat lunch, then go shopping, then go to Starbucks, then go shopping again, then go to see a movie, and then go to dinner! That would be my perfect date! The hubbin could take one for the team! This was actually what we did about a week ago except it was a family date and little Mills got to come along with us. When we do this date I am definitely going to check anncoupons.com to see what coupons we can use.

I love dating my husband and getting to spend time with him. Dating is important to us because it helps us to keep our spark like we had before we got married, and it is also a place where we can talk about things in our lives to help us grow as individuals and as a couple. If you guys have any other great date ideas let me know!

Freshly Picked Giveaway/Review!!!

The winner of this giveaway is Janet Aycock! I really appreciate
everybody entering, and want to give you all a big THANK YOU!!!
Janet, I emailed you!

I think you all know by now that I am in true love with Freshly Picked moccasins! It was love at first sight! And true love has struck again- with Amelia's second pair of Freshly Picked moccasins!

Amelia wore these "Platinum" FP moccs atleast 4 days out of 7, no joke. And two of those other days we were at home and she never even wore shoes because if she had she would have worn her beauts (her FP moccs they are so pretty they need to be called beauts) And the other remaining day she wore her Nike's.

Here are the beloved #1 Amelia's "Platinum" moccasins

She still does fit into her size 4 moccasins because they have a stretchy piece of elastic that holds the moccasin onto your babies foot. So another good thing about the elastic is that they grow with your child! Amelia has almost had her Platinum moccasins for over a year. They are still in amazing shape. They do have her foot print imprinted onto the bottom of the moccasin, it makes me love them that much more. I can't wait to be able to use them as decoration in her room whenever she does grow out of them. They will be so special since they have her foot print imprinted on them!

I chose the Platinum color for her first pair because I really wanted to try their soft leather and I wanted to try a classic color first. They have so so so many options for you to choose from. They have some cute printed options too. I almost got this adorable watermelon print, but like I said I just had to get a classic for her first pair. I am so glad that I did choose a classic because they go with everything!

So when I was choosing the second pair I knew I really wanted to try their suede leather since I already had a pair of their soft leather. I got side tracked when I saw their heirloom *****link moccs, they are adorable!!! So I actually told the Freshly Picked representative, Rachel who was amazing to work with and was so patient as I took about a week and a half to choose the color, that I would love to try out the heirloom moccs in size seven, and unfortunately they are only sold up to size 3. (I mean the struggle is real!) I was devastated, so I took about another half of a week and decided that I should go back to my original thinking and get a suede leather in a classic color. So I ended up with the "Stay Golden Suede"

And the next week I got them in the mail. Yay!

And that is when I fell in love with Freshly Picked moccasins all over again!

Here is what I love so much about them!
  • They actually stay on my baby bears feet! That is a miracle for baby shoes. I have been so frustrated with other shoes not staying on it is ridiculous. Hints why she pretty much only wears fp moccs. I think this has to do with the elastic on the top band that is completely covered by the material by the way.
  • They are so stinking adorable. Does it get cuter then a baby moccasin? I think not! And the style matches with everything. Depending on what moccasin you choose it will match with all styles for your baby bear. The Platinum ones worked really well with casual clothes, trendy clothes as well as with dress up clothes. Here are some examples.
  • They are great when you are going to a Broncos game. Daddy love. (my real love)

  • When you are the Botanical garden in the butterfly house pretending you can fly.
  • They are especially great when you are at your grandparents on the tire swing.
  • I was actually pleasantly surprised at how well the leather protected Amelia's feet.
  • They fit really well with or without socks which I see as a bonus for sure!
  • They are amazing for traveling! They are so soft and keep her feet really warm. And since they are so flexible they are great for however she is sitting. And they are really nice to carry around in your bag if you need to.
  • Speaking of bags, your moccasins come in an adorable bag that says Freshly Picked on it that has a cute little button! A new addition they have been doing is adding such fun emoji stickers into the box!

There are so many positives about these adorable moccasins. I have only found a couple downfalls.
  • I am not sure how well they support her foot, but I know their are studies showing that having babies in shoes like this is actually good and then I have seen studies saying that they need tons of support. I haven't seen anything that I have been disappointed by the support with Amelia though. Since they don't have a thick sole they are really light too.
  • They are pretty expensive, but they are pretty good about doing some great sales so if you are patient enough to wait to buy some then that will help.
  • After almost a year of Amelia wear her moccs they are just now showing a little wear.
They pros definitely outwait the cons!

Jamberry GIVEAWAY!!! And Jamberry Nails Tutorial and Challenge Vs. Sally Hansen's Hard as A Wrap

My friend Andrea so graciously sent me a set of Jamberry nail wraps for me, and also one for one of you lucky winners!

I decided that I wanted to show you guys the Jamberry challenge we have all heard of, but I am adding a twist. I am going to use Sally Hansen's Hard as a Wrap nail polish to challenge against the Jamberry wrap instead of regular polish with a regular top coat.

I think you can all guess the results, because Jamberry nail wraps are amazing (atleast in my opinion)

I was really cautious of them at first though and wasn't sure how I would like them so I figured some of you might still be on that boat so I am going to share my experience with you guys to help you make your decision on whether or not you like Jamberry Nail wraps.

I not only want to tell you but I want to show you a day by day view of my nails from the challenge.

Warning, this video is a little bit long, but I hope it helps!
After you watch this video, if you want to check out all of the creative designs they have go here!
If you decide that you want to try some Jamberry nails my friend sells them and would love for you to buy them from her. Here is the link!
